Quickstart
Run the whole stack on one machine with Docker Compose and map a real AWS account.
The same four containers that run on AWS run locally with Docker Compose: Neo4j, Cartography, the MCP server and the dashboard.
Prerequisites
- Docker with Compose
- AWS credentials for the account you want to map (read access is enough)
- A clone of launchpaas/cirrusmapper
Start the stack
Pick a Neo4j password
echo "NEO4J_PASSWORD=$(openssl rand -hex 16)" > .envStart Neo4j, the MCP server and the dashboard
docker compose up -d --buildRun a sync
Export credentials for the account, then run Cartography once. A full sync of a small account takes about 20 minutes.
eval "$(aws configure export-credentials --profile <profile> --format env)"
docker compose run --rm cartographyOpen it
| Service | URL |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | http://localhost:3000 |
| MCP endpoint | http://localhost:8080/mcp |
| Neo4j Browser | http://localhost:7474 |
Local only
Every port binds to 127.0.0.1, and the dashboard has no sign-in yet. Don't expose it.
